Business Process Management (BPM) is a framework that lets companies develop and implement better processes across their enterprises. BPM combines a range of features — process design and modeling, integration and post-deployment monitoring and analyzing - but its most important function is to help companies increase process efficiency and thus, reduce costs.
OpenWF.com is developed by a team of industry veterans with total experience over a decade, through extensive research of current market place of Business Process Management Software. OpenWF.com provides end-to-end work process automation solutions that enable companies to solve business problems, lower costs, increase employee productivity, and ensure increased customer satisfaction.
The openWF.com Process Platform consists of four components based on the industry standard (workflow framework from wfmc.com). Each component comprises a rich set of functions to enable the companies to operate and handle day-to-day business process.

Workflow Graphic Designer
The Process Definition Designer is a multilevel and easy-to-use window based graphic tool. It can create a process flow like drawing a flow chart in Visio. The Designer also includes form builder to auto build or customize the process user interface (either form, external URL or auto task). The multilevel design detail provides the best compromise between a graphics-based tool that would be readily intuitive to business users and the data-focused tools that only IT staff could use. It brings business users and IT staff to design, test and deploy together. The Designer features not only the free-flow graphical box-and-wire diagrams, but also a powerful array of algorithmic functionalities regarding business process, considering a variety of complexities, such as people with different skills and heterogeneous organizational structure. The Designer begins with articulating what current process is, and once start to do that, immediately, popping up the page, are ideas of what to do better.
Workflow Engine
The Engine is the core component of the product. It runs as window service and handles all tasks in the process queue. It ‘s multi-threading and executes processes effectively and brings various resources, including most precious resource human being in real-time collaboration. The capability of an Engine is the main power of the product. OpenWF.com engine can handle various and advanced patterns (http://tmitwww.tm.tue.nl/research/patterns/)
Workflow Server
OpenWF.com needs no special client, but web-enabled software. Through web browser, end users can access ‘Task List’ to process any pending job; use ‘Open Case’ to start a process; check ‘Case Status’ to view the status of any open case. The Monitor offers the visualization and features to report and measure the process performance. Furthermore, it provides management functionalities, such as re-route and terminate the process.
Workflow Web Service
OpenWF provides you unique real-time integration method (view detail). If your company prefers SOA architecture and like to utilize OpenWF workflow engine, we provide you workflow web service which includes 'Task List' and 'Case Status' etc...
Architecture
The openWF.Com platform is a n-tier architecture, which provides full scalability. All process related information is held in SQL database (SQL 7.0/2000). The web interface is ASP.NET and runs on IIS server. The Engine runs as a window service, scans through the workflow database and process all the tasks based on the workflow process definition. The configurable parameters can be adjusted to fit your company’s environment. In most BPM software, there are difficulties to integrate their software with existing applications. It means that existing applications can hardly utilized the powerful workflow engine. The architecture of the openWF.com platform enables itself to provide easy implementation rules and put the power of workflow engine to work. See detail at real-time integration section.
OpenWF.com has been developed in Microsoft platform: window 2000/2003 servers, IIS 5.0/6.0, SQL 2000/2005, VB.NET, C#.NET and C++.
